On June 12, the world’s eyes will tune into the 20th FIFA World Cup! Radio is Miami’s Official Bar to catch all of the Brazil Games.  Munch on items from our new Snack Bar menu, curated by Bernie Matz, Menin Hospitality’s Culinary Director.


World Cup Fun Facts

1. The first FIFA World Cup was held in Uruguay back in 1930 and 13 countries participated in the very first World Cup tournament.

2. Brazilian Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima holds the record for most World Cup goals scored. He scored 15 goals

3. Record for most World Cup titles won goes to Brazil who had won the tournament 5 different times.

4. Germany and Brazil hold the top spot for most appearances in the World Cup final. Both countries made it to the finals on 7 different occasions.

5. Brazil has scored 210 goals in all World Cups making them a record holder for most goals scored in World Cup tournament.

6. India withdrew from the competition in 1950 when they weren’t allowed to play barefoot in the tournament.

7. World Cup is the most widely viewed sporting event in the world, with over one billion people watching this competition every four years.

8. The 2014 World Cup will see matches take place in 12 different cities, more than any other finals on record.

9. The official ball to be used at the 2014 World Cup is the adidas Brazuca.The ball will be called the “adidas Brazuca” following a public vote by over one million Brazilian football fans, where the name received 70 percent of the vote.
