Forbidden Dance

July 6th, 2014

Sunday Funday is upon us and that means a new cocktail breakdown. Today we have our Forbidden Dance.

The concept from this drink came from inspiration of the Brazilian dance song “The Lambada”, Featuring a boy grinding with a young girl moving to the beat in a wave like bodymotion, the Lamada is danced with arched legs and bent knees moving from side to side. At the time, this dance stirred up controversy and discussion because the style of dance was much different than their traditional styles in Brazil. The important thing to remember about the Lambada is the sensuality of the dance. Listen to the music and let the rhythm move you.

A dance that has been famed for being taboo, we decided to appropriately name our cocktail, The Forbidden Dance.

Check back every Sunday as we feature our #sundayfunday cocktail of the week
